Family Fun in NJ

This information was sent to me by Amanda at the New Jersey Marine Science Consortium. The NJMSC is an organization that teaches children throughout NJ about marine and environmental science.

They have an up-coming event, Ocean Fun Days, that I think your kids, grandkids, and school children would enjoy attending. It’s a two day event on May 16 & 17, 11 – 3:00 both days with free admission and free parking. Saturday’s event is held at Island Beach State Park in Seaside (Ocean County), and Sunday’s, out on Sandy Hook (Monmouth County). Enjoy exhibits, classes, nature tours, and children’s activities all about our coastal environment. You’ll have a great family fun time learning the science of our shorelines and how to care for them for years to come.

There will also be a science fair for students in grades 3-4 and 5-6. If you are interested and in Monmouth or Ocean counties, let Amanda know.

Amanda has a bunch of brochures she can mail out, so if you think your school or students would be interested in visiting let her know. It’s also a great family fun in NJ event!

Also, check out NJMSC’s list of class trips.

Hope you can make it on the 16th and 17th!!
