Flower Handprint Poem
Handprint poems for parents and grandparents are so nice to receive for any holiday, birthday, or just because….  Our Emily, who just finished pre-school, presented this poem to her mother for Mother’s Day. As you can see from the photo, the handprint poem was placed in the middle of a yellow and pink handprint flower made with Emily’s own handprints:

I miss you when we’re not together
I’m growing up so fast
See how big I’ve gotten
Since you saw me last!
As I grow, I’ll change a lot,
The years will fly right by
When and where and why?
Look upon this handprint flower
That’s hanging on your wall
And memories will come back of
When I was very small.
Needless to say, this brought tears to her Mommy’s eyes…mine, too…

I have always liked the little handprint ideas. I remember when our kids were in preschool and came home with a mold of their little hands and a different poem. Then the grandkids did the same.
Handprint crafts are the best! And combined with a poem–there’s nothing better.
