Home Birthday Party Idea for Girls

Here’s a fun, home birthday party idea for girls you can enjoy any time of the year. It can be held inside or outside and can save you money and time, too!

Instead of having a make-up and fashion birthday party at Libby Lu that can be quite costly, duplicate the fun birthday party experience at home and save money. It’s very easy and can be planned with a mimimum of time and expense.

Either provide play make-up sets and brushes, hair accessories, mirrors, and enough hair gel and mousse for each girl or ask them to each put together their own make-up case and mirror. (Their personal supplies that you provide can be waiting in a gift bag and to be kept as their favors.)

You can also ask each guest to bring dress-up clothes and play jewlery to exchange for a fashion show. The girls can get very creative designing hair styles and outfits. It’s really a lot of girly fun for everyone!

For refreshments, you can have a girly tea party!  Be sure to have your camera with extra batteries ready. Take lots of pictures and while the girls are busy having their refreshments at the end, print them out, place them in frames, and give one to each of the girls as keepsake favors.

Birthday party supplies can be found online at reasonable prices when you buy by the theme, often at a savings compared to when you buy separately in the store. Not only can you save money, you can save gas and time, too. Everything you need can be found, such as balloons, invitations, banners, paper goods, pinatas, and favors – and more!

If you have birthday party ideas that save money and time, I’d love for you to share them here!

Tea Party Game for Girls

Award Winner:
Oppenheim Best Toy Award Platinum Winner

Ages 5 and Up, but enjoyed by 3-year-olds, too!

  • I found this delicious Tea Party Game
on Amazon which I gave to our 7-year-old granddaughter for Christmas. The Tea Party Game is pretty and fun, as we found, for both Kaitlin and 3-year-old Emily to enjoy together. The directions are easy to follow. The game pieces are beautifully decorated with a delicate pastel floral pattern.
  • First, the floral table cloth is laid down. Using the pretty Tea Pot spinner, turns are taken until each player wins a plate. Once the players (2 – 4) each wins a plate, spins are taken to win each piece of their place setting, then a piece of fruit, one sandwich, and one dessert.
  • To quicken the Tea Party Game, we changed the rules so that each player starts with their plate. The first player to collect one of each Tea Party piece is the winner but watch out for the bees! They’ll make you lose a game piece.
  • To add to the fun, prepare lemonade, favorite fruits, finger sandwiches, and desserts for each player to win. When the game is over, enjoy a real tea party!
  • For a special Mother’s Day treat (after their baby brother is born), the girls, their mommy, aunt, and Nana will be having a tea party at a quaint local Tea Room.
  • I recommend this delicious award winning Tea Party Game
