When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not there to see,
if the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry the way you did today,
while thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you,
and each time you think of me, I …

On Gossamer Wings
When you feel a little breeze,
or notice a tickle, or need to sneeze
or find your things are rearranged
or something seems a little strange
Look very closely and you might see
sparkly dust, or a buzzing bee:
Behold! a fairy with gossamer wings
has come to show you wondrous things!

Nana didn’t want to pay Weight Watchers, but I am…. I’ve put it off for long enough. I finally gave in last two weeks ago and Joined Weight Watchers. I am a Life Member but have had 13 pounds to lose so I have to pay each week until I reach my goal weight again. I bought the monthly pass so it comes to a little over $9 a week for 4 weeks, then my credit card will be charged again…unless I cancel before then.
How’d I do the first week? I counted …

Have you been searching the web for companies that provide safe, non-toxic, lead free toys, games, and other children’s items? How successful have you been? Just as you have been searching, I have been too. I’ve recently come across a company that has the strictest safety requirements for the children’s products it sells through their online store. The store is Magic Cabin.
Since Magic Cabin’s beginnings nearly 20 years ago, they have been dedicated to finding unique toys, games, and crafts that will enrich children’s lives by encouraging open-ended, creative, imaginative play. Their search for exceptional products takes them all …

If I Knew
If I knew it would be the last time
That I’d see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time
I’d hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

Silver Wings
“Oh for the wings of a bird,” we cry,
To carry us off to an untroubled sky
Where we can dwell untouched by care
And always be free as a bird in the air—
But there is a legend that is very old,
Not often heard and seldom told,
That once all birds were wingless too,
Unable to soar through the skies so blue—
For, while their plumage was beautifully bright
And their chirping songs were liltingly light,
They, too, were powerless to fly
Until one day when the Lord came by
And laid at the feet of the singing birds
Gossamer …

Look what I found at Walmart! I’ll have her 3 grandchildren purchase this for their grandmother! My 90-year-old stepmother has been wishing for a bike to ride around her community, but is leary of riding a two-wheeler now that she is “getting on in years.” This is the perfect solution, a tri-cycle for adults with a basket on the back to hold her purse and swim suit, too!

Grandmothers, a fun activity for spending time with your granddaughter is teaching her how to add embroidery to personal items and gifts. What once was a daily past-time for young ladies seems to be a disappearing art. Grandmothers and mothers for generations before us have passed this wonderful, creative craft on, so please don’t let it fade away.
Grandchildren, ask your grandmother to teach you how to embroider. And, if she doesn’t know how, learn together. You’ll both have a lot of fun decorating jeans, pony tail holders, pillows and more …

Spring Has Sprung
Spring has sprung, the grass has ris’,
I wonder where the birdie is?
There he is up in the sky,
He dropped some whitewash in my eye!
I‘m alright, I won’t cry,
I’m just glad that cows can’t fly!
~ Author Unknown ~
For the above poem, I remember saying this poem as we jumped rope:
Spring is sprung!
The grass has ris,
I wonder where the posies is…
Come look here my dear sis
I have found little crocuses
Spring has Sprung!
Spring has sprung!
It’s time to have some fun.
Come and play with me.
Bring your umbrella and
gardening tools.
The rain will fall,
the sun …
