I wrote this birthday poem for my granddaughter, Emily, when she turned two years old in January:
Who’s Two Today!
Who’s two today!
It must be you…
Cake and ice cream!
It’s not a dream…
Games and toys!
Make some noise…
Giggles and squeals!
A yummy meal…
It’s your big day!
Get up and play…
Run and hop!
Don’t you stop…
A rocking horse!
Yes, yes, of course…
Dora, Thomas!
Love you, promise…
A big balloon!
Watch it zoooom…
Family, good friends!
Love never ends…
